MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WKRC) - In 24 hours, the Middletown Police lip sync video challenge has received 2.2 million views and has been shared 62,000 times.

The video focuses on the officers and their love for donuts, which always seem to be in short supply. It ends with a fresh delivery.

The video, lip synced to Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now", even got recognition from the country music group on Twitter. They called it awesome.

Middletown High School grad and Cubs player Kyle Schwarber also weighed in, saying "My hometown PD nailed this lip-sync! Laughs all around"

The department explained the the officers either performed their parts in 30 minutes or less or came in on their own time. The response seems to be overwhelmingly positive.

The department has challenged Fairfield Police to make their own video.

The Butler County Sheriff's Office put a lip sync challenge video out on Monday. It's racked up an impressive 162,000 views.
