Rapper T.I. says he goes to daughter's gynecologist appointments to 'check her hymen'

Rapper and actor T.I. says he goes to his daughter's gynecologist appointments every year to ensure she's still a virgin, reports say.

BuzzFeed News reports T.I., real name Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., made the claim on Tuesday during an episode of the podcast "Ladies Like Us."

When the hosts asked if he had the sex talk with his daughters, including 18-year-old Deyjah Harris, T.I. said "we have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen," and "yes, I go with her."

He also told the hosts after Deyjah's 16th birthday party, he put a note on her door that read "Gyno. Tomorrow. 9:30."

BuzzFeed News also reports the gynecologist told the rapper a female's hymen can be broken in other ways besides sexual penetration:

"And so then they come and say, ‘Well, I just want you to know that there are other ways besides sex that the hymen can be broken like bike riding, athletics, horseback riding, and just other forms of athletic physical activity,'" he said. "So I say, ‘Look, Doc, she don’t ride no horses, she don’t ride no bike, she don’t play no sports. Just check the hymen, please, and give me back my results expeditiously.'"

"I will say, as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact."
