AUCKLAND, New Zealand (STORYFUL) - Firefighters in New Zealand performed a passionate haka under Auckland’s Sky Tower to pay tribute to the “bravery and sacrifice” of first responders who died in the line of duty at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
After the haka, more than 200 firefighters climbed the stairs of the 328-meter-high Sky Tower in memory of their American counterparts.
According to reports, three chiefs from the New York Fire Department – John Buckheit, Chief Howard Hill and Battalion Chief David Morkal – also attended the event.
