ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) — Deputies arrested a woman accused of hitting her boyfriend in the face with a package of Ramen noodles.
It happened back in 2015, according to a police report, but 29-year-old Channing Benson was arrested Wednesday, May 24.
The victim, Anthony Mobley, called the Escambaia County Sheriff's Office (ECSO) deputies when his live-in girlfriend walked into his job at a local convenience store and began yelling at him to bring food home for her and her children.
He told Benson that he'd be off in an hour and would bring him some food, however, that's when he said she "became more irate" and demanded that he give her a phone card.
He said he refused to do so and asked her to leave three times because she was causing a scene.
According to the police report, she "suddenly picked up a package of dry Ramen noodles and threw them, hitting him on the left side of his mouth causing a small laceration."
A responding deputy reports that he tried to find Benson at her home, but when he got there he found a child that was left home alone.
She is booked inside the Escambia County Jail charged with battery, child neglect, trespassing, fraud, resisting an officer, burglary and other crimes. She was not granted bond.
