ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (WJLA) — A deer was rescued last week after it was stuck in a fence in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
On Dec. 16, Sergeant Matt Hall was flagged down by several citizens while driving on Friendship Road, near Kim Lane in South County, after they discovered a deer stuck in a fence, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
When Hall approached the scene, he saw a young buck with his head shoved through a portion of the fence, unable to pull his antlers out.
Hall's body camera footage caught the full rescue.
The deer was freed in a matter of minutes after Hall's arrival.
First responders warn if a person sees a wild animal in trouble, the best thing to do is call their local wildlife officials or animal control.
