GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WZTV) -- Adding to the magic of the Great Smoky Mountains, visitors will soon be able to stay in treehouses nestled between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
Tucked away along the banks of Norton Creek, the treehouses bring the adventure of living up in the trees while also having daily amenities like WiFi, TV, air conditioning and electricity.
The eight treehouses were designed and are under construction by Pete Nelson and his crew from Animal Planet’s hit show Treehouse Masters. Fans can keep up with the construction progress on Facebook and Instagram.
Co-owner Joseph Ayres Jr. tells FOX 17 News the inspiration for the project came from enjoying time outdoors and his childhood dreams of building forts and treehouses.
Travelers will be able to take their pick of the treehouse rentals new to Tennessee in March 2020. Learn more about the Treehouse Grove at Norton Creek here.
