Texans are not shy about their love for barbecue and we don't blame them. It's food sent from the heavens. So when non-southerners try their hand at barbecue, you can guarantee it's going to get heavily criticized from those in the south.
That's exactly what happened when Munchies posted a very sad photo of barbecue from a Brooklyn restaurant on Sunday.
But according to the article, Fette Sauisn't trying to follow the southern barbecue traditions. If you go through their menu, you can see its not too far out there. Their beans are made with the burnt ends of their smoked pork and beef meats, then slowly cooked overnight.
But then you get to their dry rub, which has espresso in it - it becomes very New York.
Still, it didn't take long for southerners, especially Texans, to completely roast their attempt.:
