Target aims to help teachers buying school supplies with special coupon

KOCHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. - It's only mid-July but many teachers are already thinking ahead to the first day of school.

Unfortunately, many teachers are forced to stock their classrooms with supplies by paying for them out of their own pocket.

In response, all this week teachers from preschool to college professors are eligible for a discount at Target stores for classroom supplies.

This is the first time Target is offering this unique deal on select school supplies.

Some of the items being discounted include pens, pencils, crayons, glue and even tissues and hand sanitizer.

According to the National Center of Education Statistics, 94 percent of teachers reported spending their own money on supplies.

To take advantage of the deal, you have to go online and register for a coupon on Target’s website.
