Suspect tries to rob East Baltimore bank, gets out of wheelchair to flee

BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF) - A man in a wheelchair tried to rob a bank in east Baltimore, then got out of the wheelchair to flee, said city police.

The incident was reported at SunTrust Bank on Eastern Ave, just east of Greektown.

Police said the suspect arrived in a wheelchair.

When the teller hit a panic alarm button, the suspect got up out of the wheelchair and left.

The attempted robbery is still under investigation.
