During the last few months, Americans have witnessed the spread and increased cases of the coronavirus.

According to the World Health Organization, tally more than 800,000 people around the world have contracted COVID-19. The United States now has the highest number of cases; at least 4,500 people have died.

Health care workers have worked around the clock to treat those infected while experiencing shortages in medical supplies.

The outbreak has forced people to stay in their homes and wreaked havoc on the economy. Many businesses have had to close, causing some Americans to lose their jobs. Nearly 3.3 million Americans applied for unemployment last week.

Sinclair Broadcast Group partnered with the Salvation Army to help your neighbors who have been economically impacted by the national COVID-19 crisis. More than $300,000 has been raised to help those in need. Sinclair remains committed to keep people safe and informed. Sinclair will match donations up to the first $100,000.

Your support goes directly back into your local community, helping The Salvation Army deliver food, shelter and hope.
