A man has been charged with public intoxication in Nashville after a woman claims he "threw a biscuit really hard and hit her in the face."

Metro Nashville Police officers responded to reports of a domestic disturbance on Murfreesboro Pike on Sunday. The victim said Jeffrey Tomerlin threw a biscuit "really hard" at her face after noticing her in the backseat of her new boyfriend's car as they were driving into the parking lot of a nearby Kroger.

The victim said when they left the area, Tomerlin charged at her car and punched the hood, leaving a large dent before yelling "I'll kill you mother [expletive]."

According to a Davidson County affidavit, the victim said she believed Tomerlin would have hurt her more if her boyfriend and his friend had not stepped in to help her during the encounter.

Responding officers described Tomerlin as "unruly" and "uncooperative" and said a strong odor of alcohol was emanating from him.

Tomerlin was taken to General Hospital after police say he kept banging his head on the patrol car windows. Police officers are waiting with him until he is medically cleared.
