WASHINGTON (WJLA) — On Saturday, the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art hosted its annual Lunar New Year festival.
Celebrating the Year of the Dragon, the museum had performances throughout the day including lion dancers and aSichuan Opera show.
According to the museum, the 15-day-long celebration, also known as the Spring Festival in China, marks the arrival of spring and the beginning of a new year on the lunisolar calendar.
