ROCKLAND (WGME) – Maine’s beloved “Lobster Lady” just celebrated her 104th birthday on Thursday!

Virginia “Ginny” Oliver is the oldest lobster trapper in Maine.

She started catching lobsters off the coast of Rockland when she was a little girl and has no plans of retiring.

Ginny even has a book written after her.

Barbara Walsh, the author of the book “The Lobster Lady,” says Ginny told her she doesn't feel old and even with a few more aches and pains, “nobody wants to listen to you complain!”

Ginny gathered with her family in Rockland to celebrate turning 104. On the menu was ice cream and chocolate cake, which is her favorite.

When asked if she plans on lobstering this summer, she said, "Oh, I’m going to go."

And regardless of her age, Ginny said, "'I'm still the boss," at sea and on land.

Happy birthday, Ginny!
