WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A West Palm Beach Police officer not only won a medal, but the hearts of many commenters after going viral for his good looks.
The West Palm Beach Police Department congratulated one of its own — Officer Nelson Caceres — for accomplishing his first marathon, waking up at 4 a.m. to complete a grueling 26.2 mile run in an impressive four hours and 29 minutes. After this remarkable feat, he returned to duty with the e-bike unit, patrolling the streets until 7:30 p.m.
But it wasn't just Officer Caceres' time that had Facebook users running to give the post over 7,500 likes and over 440 comments.
The community's response to his achievement was as entertaining as it was supportive. One commenter humorously asked, "That’s nice, but is he single? Asking for a friend." Another playfully congratulated him, saying, "Congratulations king, now come arrest me." The lighthearted banter continued with, "I just knew the comment section wouldn’t disappoint."
Additional comments added to the fun and admiration: "Are you looking for a wife?" and "OH my. Is this man married?"

Some commenters said they would turn to a life of crime if that gave them the opportunity to meet the handsome officer while also jokingly calling him a thief.
One person joked, "I'm about to break the law real quick," while another noted, "Weird he’s a cop considering all of the robberies he’s been doing of stealing women’s hearts and attention (based on the comments)."
Some commenters were eager to learn more about Officer Caceres, with one saying, "Now someone find his social media, I need to know if this man is married or not." Others expressed interest in the police department's activities within the community, asking, "Do you guys do the police ride along program? I would love to join him on his day."
Another person said they'd have to take a flight to West Palm Beach. "Let me get this flight to West Palm and where is the nearest bike shop? Are work schedules public? Is there a bike path?"
Officer Caceres' dedication and the community's enthusiastic response highlight the strong bond between the West Palm Beach Police Department and the residents they serve.
