WASHINGTON (WJLA) - For one Washington Capitals fan, nothing was going to stop her from getting to D.C. for the Stanley Cup victory parade.

Virginia Tech student Katie Karlinchak, 19, says she had to choose between her job at a florist and the chance to attend the first victory parade by a D.C. sports team in nearly 30 years.

It looks like she made the right choice.

The newly unemployed Hokie says she is not worried about her future job prospects. With this kind of dedication to the Caps, maybe someone should get Karlinchak's resume to team owner Ted Leonsis.
