A recent Pew Research Center poll found that 61% of veterans said they were strongly or leaning towards supporting former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

Dr. Paul Lawerence, the former Undersecretary for Benefits in Trump's Veterans Administration, argues this is due to the state of the economy under the 45th president, and reforms Trump made to the VA while in office.

"He passed laws to given veterans choice for their healthcare. He passed laws to fire poor performers. He made benefits faster to be obtained," Lawrence said.
