Weezer releases surprise cover album

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — After Weezer's cover of the 1981 hit "Africa" by Toto took over pop radio, the band released a whole album of covers.

"Weezer (Teal Album)" was dropped overnight Thursday with covers of "Sweet Dreams," "Paranoid," "No Scrubs," "Stand By Me," and many more.

The songs can be played on popular streaming services including Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube Music.

Many of the songs are also available for free ontheir YouTube page.
