WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) — Warner Bros. has reportedly cast the Cat to star alongside Robert Pattinson’s Bat.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the studio has confirmed Zoe Kravitz will play Catwoman in director Matt Reeves’ “The Batman.” The film is set to begin shooting in January with a June 25, 2021 release date.
Pattinson takes over the Batman role from Ben Affleck, presumably playing a much younger version of the character than the 47-year-old Affleck last played in “Justice League.” Catwoman was most recently portrayed by Anne Hathaway in “The Dark Knight Rises,” though Kravitz also voiced a version of the character in 2017's "The LEGO Batman Movie."
Reeves has so far revealed little about his take on the 80-year-old franchise. Reports last month indicated Jonah Hill and Jeffrey Wright were in negotiations to appear in the film, but no official announcements have been made regarding their roles.
