Regal Cinemas announces plans to reopen locations in August

ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Regal Cinemas has announced their plans to reopen theaters across the country on August 21st, just in time for the release of Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated film "Tenet."

The company has unveiled a large array of safety guidelines in an effort to keep guests safe from the coronavirus, including a face mask requirement, and enforced distancing ofauditorium seats. Two seats must be left empty in between groups.

Auditorium capacity will be reduced to 50%, and guests can remove face coverings inside in order to eat and drink. Snacks from the concessions stand can now be purchased on the Regal Cinemas App.

AMC Theaters announced a plan to reopen in mid-late August, but no specific date was given.
