Here's what's coming to Netflix in February 2021

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — I'm just about to dive head first into the rabbit hole known as the Sundance Film Festival. But first, let's get you sorted on what is coming to Netflix in February 2021.

Kid Cosmic

From Craig McCracken, the creative force behind "The Powerpuff Girls" comes this super adventure about a boy who is granted powers after discovering five rings. (Avail. 2/2)

Malcolm & Marie

Written and directed by Sam Levinson ("Euphoria") and starring Zendaya and John David Washington, "Malcolm & Marie" sees a film director and his girlfriend clash in the aftermath of the opening of his first major release. There are moments of brilliance, a raw and intense exploration of ego, race and relationships backed by a pair of strong performances. The first hour or so is exhausting, exhilarating, vicious, and concise. The final acts isn't nearly as electric. Somewhere along the way the film becomes less about the characters and more of a visual essay on artistry and filmmaking. (Avail. 2/5)

The Yin-Yang Master: Dream Of Eternity

Based on the game "Onmyoji," "The Ying-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity" is a martial arts epic with fantasy leanings. I'm a huge fan of Asian cinema. It's the use of color and choreography. (Avail. 2/5)

Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel

This month's journey into true crime is "Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel." The Cecil Hotel has a history of suicide and may have been a temporary residence for serial killer Richard Ramirez. This series, however, focuses on the story ofElisa Lam, a Canadian student who was seen acting erratically in elevator surveillance footage and later was found deadin a water supply cistern on the hotel roof.(Avail. 2/10/21)

Buried by the Bernards

I imagine that it is difficult to keep a sense of humor when you work in the funeral business. "Buried by the Bernards" is a reality series centered on the eccentric Bernard family run funeral service in Memphis, Tennessee. (Avail. 2/12/21)

I Care A Lot

Rosamund Pike stars in this dark comedy as Marla Grayson, a legal guardian who looks to drain the bank accounts of the elderly she is meant to protect. Peter Dinklage and Eiza González co-star in this (Avail. 2/19)
