Former 'Hannah Montana' actor arrested for public intoxication and theft

WASHINGTON (TND) — A former Disney actor known for "Hannah Montana" was arrested in Texas Saturday.

Mitchell Musso was arrested on charges of public intoxication and theft, according to the Rockwell Police Department.

Musso was taken into custody after someone reported a disturbance at a hotel, a press release obtained by TMZreported.

Police said the 32-year-old actor appeared intoxicated and allegedly entered the hotel and took a bag of chips without paying. When he was asked to pay, he reportedly became verbally abusive and left.

He was taken to the Rockwall County Detention Center and spent one night in jail before being released Sunday on a $1,000 bond.

Additional charges included expired registration, failure to display a driver's license and violating a promise to appear notice.
