Dame Judi Dench just became Vogue's oldest cover star, proving age really is just a number

WASHINGTON (SBG) -- Dame Judi Dench, decked out in Dolce & Gabbana, has become the oldest person ever to be featured on the cover of British Vogue.

Dench, 85, was photographed in March before lockdown measures due to the coronavirus pandemic went into effect. She will grace the June edition's cover.

Dench, best known for her roles in "Shakespeare in Love" and the James Bond movie "Skyfall" recently acted in the Broadway adaptation of "Cats."The Oscar-winning actress is a true national treasure in the United Kingdom.

Vogue was founded more than 125 years ago, with its British edition launching in 1916.
