This Veterans Day, please find it in your heart to help a group of Americans who didn't need to be asked to help you and your way of life.

Sinclair Broadcast Group (SBG) is partnering with DAV (Disabled American Veterans) to raise money, raise awareness and to recruit volunteers to make life easier for the men and women who served in the Armed Forces and Military.

Did you know, by donating only one dollar to this campaign, that will equate to 40 dollars in direct benefits to veterans?

DAV is a nonprofit that provides a lifetime of support for veterans of all generations and their families. DAV's donors have empowered the organization to help more than 1 million veterans in positive, life-changing ways each year. The benefits include healthcare, employment, education, and disability benefits they have earned.

If you would rather donate your time than donate your money, there are plenty of opportunities to volunteer for DAV.

Each year, DAV volunteers provide more than 600,000 no-cost rides to help veterans get to and from medical appointments at not cost to the veteran. DAV is in constant need of more volunteers for this and other programs.

DAV volunteers are often located on-site at VA medical centers, where they provide more than a million volunteer hours per year, visiting veterans and assisting families in need.
