WASHINGTON (SBG) -- Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade has won a vast amount of basketball accolades over the years whether it was becoming an All-Star, NBA champion or Finals MVP. But it is his work off the court that is taking centerstage in an advertisement from Budweiser.
Throughout his last NBA season, Wade has traded his jersey with fellow competitors he admires such as LeBron James, Bradley Beal, Kevin Huerter, Paul George, Dirk Nowitzki and Anthony Davis. At the end of each game he has played in his last season, Wade has taken a picture with each NBA star while holding their jersey up.
Budweiser decided to give Wade a special treat by sending him to American Airlines Arena in Miami to receive his final five jerseys. The basketball star, who is married to actress Gabrielle Union, wasn't sure who was going to come out before the taping of the commercial.
Dwyane Wade's mother, the sister of a Parkland shooting victim, a man from an inner city neighborhood, a woman who lost everything in a house fire and a woman who didn't have enough money to afford college all came out to thank the All-Star. Wade contributed to each of their lives in different ways, according to the video.
Wade's mother says Wade was her support system while she was in prison and even bought a church for her after she was released.
"I was a different woman after I came out of prison," Jolinda Wade said.
Each of them presented Wade with a gift that represented the impact the basketball player made on them. Watch the commercial with over 1 million views on Twitter for yourself here.
Wade will play in his last regular season home game in Miami tonight.
