Whole Foods offering free masks to all customers nationwide

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — Whole Foods Market is requesting all customers to wear masks while they shop in stories. For those who do not have a mask, the supermarket chain said it will be providing them.

Within the next week, Whole Foods said it will be offering free, disposable masks to all customers nationwide when they arrive at the store to shop.

"We will keep evaluating how to best support our teams and communities, and will continue rolling out measures to protect the health and safety of every person helping customers get what they need during this difficult time," the chain said. "Taking care of our employees as they step up for their communities will remain Amazon's number-one priority.

According to the press release, Amazon has distributed more than 100 million masks throughout the global Amazon operations network along with Whole Foods stores.

Everyone working in Whole Foods facilities is required to wear masks.
