WASHINGTON (SBG) – Walmart is continuing its efforts to keep customers safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

The past month, the chain has taken steps like altering store hours, beginning temperature checks for employees, limiting the number of people inside stores and encouraging all customers to wear face masks. Now when you visit your neighborhood Walmart, you may see these little green decals guiding you:

This store in Texas has already implemeted one-way aisles to try to limit the spread of COVID-19 and allow more room for customers in each aisle. The green "Shop This Way" decals indicate entrances, while red "Do Not Shop This Way" decals tell opposing traffic not to enter.

"We’ll continue to put signage inside our stores to remind customers of the need to maintain social distancing – especially in lines," the chain said in a press release. "And once customers check out, they will be directed to exit through a different door than they entered, which should help lessen the instances of people closely passing each other.

Walmart has not specified exactly how many stores will be using one-way aisles.
