LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Those working on the frontlines of the pandemic are heroes in the eyes of so many.

Hyland Heights Baptist Church in Virginia decided it was a good night to thank medical workers for all they do. So they teamed up with Chick-fil-A and Sheetz to make it happen.

"We're able to say, we know that life's stressful right now, but you're cared about," says Pastor Josh Carter, pastor at Hyland Heights Baptist Church. "And so it's a way to love on our community in a real practical way."

He says the hardest thing about tonight is they couldn't hug all the amazing health care workers who showed up.

Chick-fil-A said more than 200 healthcare workers were served.
