WATCH: Dr. Anthony Fauci discusses COVID-19 vaccine potential

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The coronavirus outbreak continues across the U.S. and here in Nevada, where more than 50,000 cases have been reported through Saturday, Aug. 1.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, has helped lead the federal response to the pandemic.

He joined News 3 remotely Monday morning to talk with Kim and Dana Wagner about the potential and progress for a vaccine.

He also reiterated the importance of wearing a face covering and shared other steps people should take to keep each other safe from the virus.
