US service member proposes during Fourth of July parade in Minnesota

FOREST LAKE, Minn. (STORYFUL) - A US service member got down on one knee popped the question during the Fourth of July Forest Lake parade in Forest Lake, Minnesota, and his girlfriend said yes.

The man was identified by his aunt, Kate Ash, who captured the moment on camera, as James McArthur. Ash said her nephew was due to deploy the following week, leaving his now-fiancee Alyssa Smith or nine months.

McArthur is a technical sergeant for the US Air Force and was set to deploy to Iraq, according to local media reports.
