RICHLAND, Wash. -- Months of fund-raising, planning and collaborating with a popular television show made a 5-year-old girl's wish come true Friday morning.

The team from The Wishing Star Foundation built a 'Ninja Star Warrior' course in Oaklee McBride's back yard.

The girl's family says she has lung and liver disease.

The Wishing Star Foundation supports children with terminal, life-threatening or medically complicated conditions in the Tri-Cities and Spokane.

After the big reveal, American Ninja Warrior and the show's first mom-contestant to compete and hit the buzzer was there to show Oaklee the ropes, network TV crew and all.

"We have been planning this for about a year now. I love it, it's absolutely amazing," said the girl's mom, Celesti McBride. "They were able to make the course in her favorite colors, purple and pink, which is pretty awesome. It's all come together and I don't think that the wish could have gone better."

A community effort, the project happened with the help of local businesses, volunteers and even high school wrestlers.
