President Donald Trump praised a 100-year-old World War II veteran who was carried to his seat by two men before the start of a campaign rally in Phoenix, Arizona, on Wednesday, February 19.

Footage by FOX10-Phoenix reporter Kari Lake shows two men carrying the Navy veteran as crowds chanted “USA” at the rally, held at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

“I don’t know if he knows it, but he’s, right now, the hottest celebrity in the world,” Trump said at the rally. “He might even be hotter than Trump right now, I have to say.”

Tim Murtaugh, Trump’s director of communications, said the veteran is Ervin Julian. Reports said Julian received signed campaign hats after Trump applauded the veteran.

Trump followed up on Thursday, and said the event at the rally was “a really great moment.”
