LIVONIA, Michigan (STORYFUL) -- Security footage released by the Livonia Police Department shows an irate customer slapping the manager of a Little Caesars Pizza in Livonia, Michigan, on July 9, after his order was allegedly prepared incorrectly, police said.
According to local news reports, Joseph Thorpe, 38, initially called the store to complain before arriving in person to say the pizza had Italian seasoning and not Parmesan cheese, as he said he had ordered.
The manager said she offered him a replacement or a refund, according to police.
“An irate Thorpe was then captured on in-store security video striking the female cashier in the face and then being escorted out of the store by a female acquaintance,” police said.
He was later arrested.
“On July 24, 2019, Thorpe was charged with misdemeanor Assault and Battery in the 16th District Court. He pled guilty on July 26, 2019. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail and ordered to pay $750 in fines and costs,” Livonia Police said.
