HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (STORYFUL)- A man was arrested after driving a golf cart through a Walmart store in the Tampa area of Florida on August 8, police said.
Footage provided to Storyful by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office shows officers chasing the man as she almost drives into startled customers at the Gibsonton Walmart’s entrance.
Deputies say the man, identified as 56-year-old Michael Dale Hudson, was disgruntled and wanted to speak to a manager, local media reported. He first blocked the entrance to the store but suddenly sped through the crowd when deputies arrived, police said.
The man was arrested after he crashed the cart into a cash register and some customers were treated for injuries at the scene, though none were admitted to hospital, according to local media citing police.
Hudson was injured and taken to hospital, police said. He faces charges of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, aggravated battery, trespassing, resisting arrest, and felony criminal mischief.
