DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. (STORYFUL)- A colorblind firefighter from Douglas County, Georgia, was given the ultimate gift by his colleagues on July 3 – a pair of glasses that allowed him to see color properly for the first time.
Footage posted by Jordan Gardner shows the Douglas County Fire Department presenting a pair of EnChroma glasses to Spencer Caradine, who only recently discovered he was colorblind.
The footage shows Caradine overcome with emotion as he puts the glasses on.
According to Gardner’s Facebook post, the first thing Caradine wanted to see was the American flag in full color, and the fire department helped make that happen.
