Dwyane Wade sends care package to high school student diagnosed with cancer

CARROLLTON, Ga. (STORYFUL) - A 16-year-old high school football star in Carrollton, Georgia, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, was sent a care package by Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade.

Carrollton High School student Chase McDaniel was diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma on the morning of his prom.

According to reports, McDaniel didn’t let the diagnosis ruin his day and went to the prom with his date that night.

This week, Dwyane Wade showed his support for the teen when he sent him a care package filled with sports geared and some signed sneakers.

Footage posted to Twitter by McDaniel’s football coach, Sean Calhoun, shows a speechless McDaniel opening the package and inspecting its contents.

“I’m speechless. I don’t know what to say. You’re the GOAT,” McDaniel said.
