Officers in Troy, Michigan, arrested two separate motorists on February 15 after they were found to have fallen asleep behind the wheel of their respective vehicles in a McDonald’s drive-thru, according to police.
The officers responded just before 3 am after a 911 call reported that two motorists had fallen asleep in their cars, holding up the drive-thru line, according to a video posted by police on Twitter.
When police arrived at the scene, they found both drivers asleep and managed, after “extensive efforts” to wake them up.
Both drivers, who police say did not know each other, were found to have blood alcohol levels exceeding the legal limit and were arrested for driving while intoxicated.
