Several individuals took a break from the dark side to make one little boy’s day a little brighter by visiting him at Memorial Hermann hospital in Houston, Texas, on December 4.

Ezra Menke, the boy in the video, was visited by performers from 501st Legion, “the world’s definitive Imperial costuming organization,” according to their Twitter account.

Darth Vader and a small fleet of stormtroopers managed to keep their villainy at bay as they swung by Menke’s room on Wednesday. Menke was diagnosed with Gould Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, and has been in and out of hospitals for the last seven years, Storyful was told from the Facebook account Helping Ezra.

Menke just recently underwent a fourth brain surgery. In this video, he can be heard saying how “awesome” the visit was. “He is definitely a Star Wars fan, even more so now!” Helping Ezra told Storyful.

Last week, the Klein (Texas) Fire Department and the Harris County (Texas) Precinct 4 Constable’s Office made Menke an honorary firefighter and deputy constable.
