YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. (KIMA) - A Yakima man is in jail after police say he fell asleep in a McDonald's drive-thru.

Court papers say 21-year-old Christian Vargas and another passenger fell asleep in the car -- engine running and lights on -- after ordering at the McDonald's on Lincoln Avenue.

Cars reportedly lined up behind him honking their horns, as his car blocked the drive-thru.

Court papers say Vargas didn't wake up until police reached through the open window, shut off the car and nudged him awake.

Police say they smelled intoxicants coming from the car, Vargas' eyes were red and droopy, and he seemed confused.

Court papers say police found drugs and a gun in the car.

Vargas is facing charges of illegal drugs possession and illegal possession of a firearm.
