PRATT, Kansas (KOKH) — A Kansas farmer surprised his wife with special, sky-high art for their 20th anniversary.
Jesse Blasi wanted to make his 20th anniversary special for his wife, Sarah, so he surprised her by taking her up in a plane and over their fields.
It wasn't the plane ride that was special, but what was written in the wheat.
High above the field, Sarah could read "Jesse + Sarah, 20 Years".
Jesse said he started the project last October, by using two different wheat varieties: one that has red chaff, and the other that has white chaff. The fruit of his labor just started appearing recently.
The wheat display is a 1/2 mile wide and a mile long.
