Woman was going to 'get some tamales' when she crashed into building, police say

SAN ANTONIO (SBG San Antonio) — An elderly woman will likely not face charges after she crashed into a building Sunday morning, according to police.

Officers were called to a Cricket Wireless store in the 1700 block of Fredericksburg at about 11 a.m. for reports of a car that crashed in to the building. When they arrived, an 82-year-old woman told them she thought she had left her car in park when it plowed into the building.

Police said no one was inside and she didn't suffer any injuries.

When asked where she was going, she said she was going to "get some tamales."
