A woman was arrested after she bit a state police trooper, then stole a patrol vehicle and led authorities on a chase, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers from the MSP Grand Rapids Post responded to a "domestic call" at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, the MSP Sixth District said in social media post. State police did not specify where exactly this incident occurred.

During an arrest, a woman "began to struggle with the trooper and bit them," state police said.

While the trooper was preoccupied with other individuals, the woman "slipped the handcuffs and stole the patrol vehicle," state police said.

"Additional units pursued the stolen patrol vehicle which eventually crashed and the female was once again taken into custody and transported to the jail with additional charges," state police said.

The trooper was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
