Cue the Yakety Sax chase scene music.

An officer in Texas found himself on back-to-back wild animal chases on April Fools' Day and, no, it wasn't a joke.

The Irving Police Department said Officer Turner had been patrolling the city all morning on April 1 before nature called and he had to catch not only a goat but a peacock.

"The poor goat was running on 183 while the peacock trotted around a neighborhood," police noted.

The department originally posted Officer Turner's selfies with the animals but decided that since people enjoyed it so much, why not show the action?

"Y'all loved the still photos so much we thought we'd give you the moving pictures," officers wrote on Facebook. "Animal or human, you can run, but you can't hide from our officers and helpful community."

Bodycam footage shows Officer Turner throwing fries while trying to catch the goat hiding under a trailer on the highway before the goat takes off and runs into a nearby parking lot.

With the help of another officer, the goat is finally tackled and taken into custody by police.

Luckily, the peacock was easily captured in someone's backyard before being placed in a patrol vehicle.

WFAA reported the peacock had a broken leg and was taken to the city's shelter for further care.
