SYRACUSE, N.Y. (SBG) — A 5-year-old boy with leukemia was greeted by police officers as he returned home from a trip to the hospital.

In a heartwarming video, officers with the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office and the Camillus Police Department are seen delivering gifts for 5-year-old Kaiden Urib as he returned home.

"Sometimes Superheroes Reside in the hearts of Small Children Fighting Big Battles," staff wrote on Facebook.

Thesheriff's office says the 5-year-old had only recently been diagnosed with leukemia.
