BOONVILLE, Mo. (KCRG) — It’s springtime at Boonville's Warm Springs Ranch, and they have welcomed 15 new Clydesdale foals.
At birth, a Clydesdale stands three feet tall, weighs about 150 pounds, and can walk the same day.
Adult Clydesdales can grow to six feet tall at their withers, the highest part of a horse's back.
They can also expect to weigh 2,000 pounds. They will also eat up to 20 quarts of grain and 50 pounds of hay and drink 35 gallons of water a day.
The public can meet the foals at a Mother’s Day event at Warm Springs Ranch in Boonville.
