SAN ANTONIO (KABB/WOAI) - Things escalated very quickly when a man went from walking shirtless in front of the Alamo to running across the plaza completely naked.

It happened around 9:40 p.m. May 6. In the video, a shirtless man wearing a white hat and black shorts is pushing a stroller across the plaza. He then sits on a bench behind a plant and drops his pants before running across the plaza. As you can see in the video, there are clearly children in the area. It didn't take long for park rangers to see him and take him out.

A police report says the man claimed he was running naked because a "black unknown male stole his wallet and tablet."

Bryan Preston with the Texas General Land Office said this incident illustrates a bigger safety concern. He said the plaza has had several protesters and streakers, but they have had no control as they do not manage security at the Alamo Plaza. The TGLO manages the Alamo, but the city manages the plaza.

The streaker was identified as 41-year-old Hector Vincent Melero. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
