A K-9 deputy in Pasco County chased down a suspect who ran from the wreckage of a stolen car.

The sheriff's office posted video of the dramatic takedown on Facebook.

It happened Saturday afternoon as a deputy pursued a stolen Ford Expedition with two men inside.

The SUV crashed into a telephone pole right as a deputy pulls up with the camera on his dashboard rolling. The driver bailed out and ran into the woods. The passenger stumbled out of the wreckage and into the handcuffs of the responding deputy.

The video shows Deputy Carmack sending his partner K-9 Shep to run down the fleeing driver. After handcuffing the passenger, Carmack ran after his 4-legged partner with the suspect in tow.

A few minutes later, the deputy caught up with his dog who had a good grip on the driver.
