VIDEO: Florida deputies give 6-year-old boy with autism a special birthday surprise

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) — Deputies gave a 6-year-old Florida boy with autism a special birthday surprise.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office posted last week about the special gesture for Jillian.

It started with a parade of sheriff's deputy vehicles arriving in his neighborhood. He then met with deputies, received a special gift bag and got to test out some of the equipment.

"The best part? He shared with us that his dream is to become a police officer when he grows up!" the sheriff's office said. "Moments like these warm our hearts and remind us why we love being a part of this wonderful community."

Jillian's mother thanked the deputies for giving him the "best birthday party ever!"

"The Sheriff’s Deputies that all came out for his party we appreciate you!! We had so much fun! It was amazing! And they did all of that for Julian!!" she said.
