Vanderbilt football player's surprise proposal on field warms hearts

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A Vanderbilt University football player had the surprise of a lifetime for his girlfriend this week!

Vanderbilt player Allan George planned a surprise proposal for cheerleader Katlyn Richardson on the field.

Video from Andre Mintze shows the moments leading up to the heartwarming proposal. In the footage, one of George's fellow players asks him, "Do you love this girl?" He responds, "without a question."

Richardson thought she was just posing for photos on the field. One of the photographers asked her to turn around. To her surprise, George was on one knee. Richardson gladly accepted.
