Two Massachusetts residents win big with $1 million prizes

Two Massachusetts residents claimed their $1 million prizes on Friday, less than half an hour apart.

Lawrence Troy, of Mansfield, and Jonathan Seward, of Sheffield, were the lucky winners.

Seward claimed his prize first, followed 25 minutes later by Troy.

Both men won playing the same game, Cashword.

Seward purchased his winning ticket at Silk’s Variety, 107 Main St. in Sheffield.

Troy bought his ticket at 7-Eleven, 70 Copeland Dr. in Mansfield.

Each chose to receive their prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000, before taxes.
