TOLEDO, Oh. (WNWO) -- A Toledo couple is facing charges after jumping a fence at the Zoo to find Pokemon.
According to court documents, Robin Bartholomy, 25, and Adrian Crawford, 26, jumped a fence surrounding the Toledo Zoo around 2:30 a.m. Thursday while playing the popular smartphone game Pokemon Go.
Each faces a charge of criminal trespassing.
Toledo police say Bartholomy and Crawford "did knowingly jump the fence...and walk through the property to play Pokemon. The couple's endeavor was captured on a Zoo security camera and arrested near the tiger cage.
The augmented reality game uses your phone's GPS to make Pokemon appear in your area.It is based on the popular 1990's media franchise that included video games, trading cards and television programs.
Bartholomy and Crawfrod are scheduled to be arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court Friday morning.
